CAIRO – 15 November 2017: Hungarian Parliament Speaker Laszlo Kover emphasized that the safety and stability of Egypt is considered a “valve of Europe’s safety,” saying that his country fully supports Egypt in the European Union.

Egyptian Parliament Speaker Ali Abdul Aal, during his meeting with Kover, highlighted the bilateral relations between Egypt and Hungary during recent years.

He clarified that the two countries’ partnership manifested in the visit by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to Budapest in July 2017, and he expressed his hope for the continuation of political consultation and coordination between the two countries on different issues.

Abdul Aal also stressed Egypt’s support to the Visegrád Group for its interest in the European Union, especially issues related to supporting Egypt in combating terrorism.
The two officials met on Wednesday in the presence of a number of members of Egyptian-Hungarian Parliamentary Friendship Association.
