Port Said to be completely free of slums soon - minister

CAIRO - 15 November 2017: Minister of Local Development Hesham el Sherif on Tuesday said Port Said governorate would be completely free of slums by the end of 2017 thanks to the good planning made by officials and bodies concerned.

Addressing a session of Akhbar Al Youm press house's fourth economic conference, the minister said that administrative reform in Egypt needed consolidated efforts by all government bodies, the business sector and civil society.

He added that competitions would be held to appoint new for local officials as part of the administrative reform plan.
