RAMALLAH - 13 November 2017: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Monday condemned the silence of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), saying that it holds responsibility for the results of the ethnic cleansing taking place by Israeli occupation in the Palestinian region of Al Aghwar in the West Bank.

The ministry said that occupation authorities are willing to carry out mass deportations of more than 300 Palestinian citizens from their houses in Ain al Hilweh and Om Jamal villages under the pretext of being unlicensed properties.

Such decision would enable occupation authorities to seize more that 550 Kilometers of the Palestinian lands in al Aghwar to be allocated for setting up Israeli settlements, the ministry noted.

Such crime violates the international conventions as well as the international humanitarian law, the ministry said.

The ministry reiterated that continued large-scale Judaization operations carried out by the Israeli government led by Netanyahu obstruct any efforts aim to resuming negotiations.
