Russian FM calls his Iranian counterpart to discuss situation in Syria

MOSCOW - 7 November 2017: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed Tuesday in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif the situation in Syria, Russian Sputnik news agency reported.

The two sides tackled ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between both countries on the international arena, especially in light of the results of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Iranian capital Tehran earlier in November.

Both men exchanged views on the situation in Syria and ways of boosting cooperation between the two sides over the Caspian Sea issue.
