TRIPOLI - 7 November 2017: European Union Ambassador to Libya Bettina Muscheidt said on Monday the European bloc’s delegation will resume work in Tripoli soon.

The ambassador told Minister Plenipotentiary at the Foreign and International Cooperation Ministry of the UN-backed Government of National Accord (GNA) Mohamed al Taher Siala about the decision during their meeting in Tripoli on Monday, the Libyan news agency reported.

She told reporters following the meeting that coordination is underway with the ministries concerned in the GNA, including the ministries of interior and justice, in order for the EU mission to resume work in Tripoli after its mandate has been extended until December of 2018.
