CAIRO – 6 November 2017: Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi emphasized the depth of distinguished Egyptian-Jordanian relationships that are characterized with genuine fraternal historic specialty, presidency spokesperson Bassam Radi said on Monday.

In his meeting with head of the Arab Thought Forum Al-Hassan Bin Tallal, Sisi welcomed Tallal’s participation in the World Youth Forum (WYF) currently being held in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Sisi hailed Tallal’s efforts in crystalizing contemporary Arab thought that cares for progressiveness, tolerance, development and intellectual thought, especially in a time where challenges like terrorism are escalating.

The two officials tackled during their meeting means of confronting terrorism. Sisi stressed that Egypt’s vision to eliminate terrorism depends on the necessity of consolidating the efforts of all international powers.

Egypt’s vision in facing terrorism focuses on adopting a multi-level strategy that includes renewing and filtering the religious discourse, as well as dealing with all elements that could lead to terrorism, Sisi clarified.

Sisi supports efforts that promote stabilization in the region by strengthening national organizations in the countries witnessing crisis and improving political development conditions. This may prevent the spread of terrorism within these societies.

For his part, Tallal praised the WYF, especially since it offers a good opportunity to boost dialogue and communication among youth.

Tallal agrees with ideas being discussed during the forum sessions which include boosting common humanitarian values and cultural diversity, activating citizenship and definitions of democratic civil country and social justice.
