RAMALLAH– 6 November 2017:Egyptian Ambassador to Israel Hazem Khairat on Monday called on re-reading former president Anwar Sadar’s speech during his visit to Israel.

In his speech at a conference organized by Begin–Sadat Center for Strategic Studies affiliated with Bar-Ilan University, the ambassador asserted that Sadat's speech noted that the only way to reach stability in the region is via establishing an overall and just peace, adding that this comes via imposing the two-state solution.

The ambassador also criticized establishing settlements that impedes the peace process.

Khairat also pointed out at President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly in which he asserted Egypt’s stance concerning the Palestinian cause.
