CAIRO – 6 November 2017: Assistant to the President of the Republic for Strategic and National Projects Ibrahim Mahlab said Sunday that Egyptian-Chinese relations are strong, unique and sustainable.

In his speech during the inauguration of the first Egyptian-Chinese forum, under the title "belt and road together for a better future", Mahlab pointed out that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi affirmed his support for the China's Silk Road initiative.

He invited the Chinese companies to boost their investments in Egypt, saying that China implements several projects in Egypt, including establishing the business district in the new administrative capital and the electric train project.

Meantime, President of Sharaf Sustainable Development Foundation Essam Sharaf noted that the Egyptian-Chinese relations, since its establishment in 1956, is a successful example for distinctive relations between two influential countries.

He added that the forum is an indicator for the progress of bilateral relations in various fields, especially after signing the comprehensive strategic agreement in 2014, saying that the civil society in Egypt is keen on enhancing cooperation with China, which achieve the interests of the Egyptian and Chinese peoples.
