RIYADH - 4 November 2017: The air traffic at King Khalid international airport in Riyadh was not affected after the Saudi defense forces shot down a ballistic missile northeast of Riyadh, Al-Arabiya news channel reported Saturday.

Meanwhile, the channel said that the Houthi militias claimed responsibility for firing a long-range ballistic missile at the airport.

The Saudi air defense forces told Al-Arabiya a ballistic missile launched from Yemen was intercepted northeast of Riyadh.
