CAIRO - 04 November 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Saturday had talks with counterparts and senior officials on the sidelines of the Sir Bani Yas Forum in the UAE.

Shoukry conferred with his counterparts of Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain at a quartet meeting on the developments of the crisis with Qatar, said the foreign ministry's spokesman Ahmed Abu-Zeid.

He had another meeting with his Algerian counterpart Abdelkader Messahel on the security and political conditions in Libya, said the spokesman, adding that they stressed the importance of efforts exerted by the UN envoy on Libya.

They also agreed to hold a tripartite meeting in Cairo this month to boost the moves to achieve security and stability in the Arab country, said the spokesman.

The top diplomat conferred also with the UN Libya envoy Ghassan Salama on the outcome of discussions held by the Libyan parties under the UN auspices to amend the Sukhirat agreement . Shoukry renewed to Salama Cairo's support for his actions, said Abu-Zeid.

Shoukry met also with Foreign Minister of Italy Angelino Alfano on the bilateral relations in view of return of both countries' ambassadors, efforts to combat terrorism and illegal immigration.
