CAIRO – 4 November 2017: The U.S. Geological Survey said on Saturday that 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck south of Apia, Samoa, at 9 a.m. GMT, Reuters stated.

The tsunami warning center in the Pacific Ocean said there were no dangerous waves caused by the quake.

On September 29, 2009, an earthquake also hit Samoa in the southern Pacific Ocean.
