BAGHDAD, Nov 3 (MENA) – Iraqi security forces have driven Daesh militants out of Husaybah crossing on the border with Syria, head of al Qaim Council Nazim Bardan said on Friday.

Following the liberation of the Husaybah border crossing in western Anbar province, Iraqi security troops, backed by tribesmen, are now advancing into al Qaim city to flush Daesh terrorists out of it, he added.

In a related context, Commander of Special Forces and Operations to liberate western Anbar province Lieutenant General Abdulamir Rashid Yarallah said that Popular Mobilization Units have managed to liberate three areas of Al Karābilah district in Anbar.

Meanwhile, Abdul Khaliq al Azzawi, a member of Diyala provincial council, called on Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to send more reinforcements to a liberated village in northern Salahuddin province to prevent Daesh militants from infiltrating into the village.
