CAIRO - 2 November 2017: The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) lauded Egypt's efforts to reach a Palestinian national reconciliation agreement, that was signed in October, under the Egyptian government's sponsorship.

In a statement on Thursday in New York, the 120-member movement said this agreement will help the legitimate Palestinian government take full control of all border crossings and exercise sovereignty over the Gaza Strip.

The movement also asserted its firm stand backing the Palestinian people and their just cause till ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state, with Al Quds as its capital within June 5, 1967 borders.
