CAIRO – 1 November 2017: No Egyptian causalities were found among the victims of the terrorist attack that hit Manhattan on Tuesday announced Hisham al-Nakeeb, the consul general of Egypt to the United States.

On Tuesday, a pickup truck mowed down a bike path in lower Manhattan, New York City, killing at least eight and injuring a dozen.

Nakeeb urged Egyptians to exercise caution to ensure their safety and security, adding that the Consulate’s Emergency Committee can be reached on: 2127597120/21/22

In a Wednesday statement, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for those who have been injured. The statement asserted Egypt's solidarity with the American people and administration.
