CAIRO – 31 October 2017: U.S. Central Command posted on its official Twitter page on Tuesday a video of the airstrikes of the Egyptian military forces, which were launched on a hiding place along Wahat Road in a mountainous area west of Fayoum.

A large number of militants were killed by airstrikes carried out by the Egyptian air forces upon orders issued by the general commander of the armed forces on Tuesday, said armed forces spokesperson Tamer el-Refai in a statement.

“The strikes resulted in the destruction of three four-wheel-drive vehicles loaded with large quantities of weapons, ammunition and highly explosive materials,” the statement read.

On October 27, security forces killed 13 high-risk militants in clashes that took place along Wadi Gadid-Wahat Road. A week earlier, a shootout between security forces and militants occurred when the forces besieged this point, resulting in the killing of 13 militants, some of them in military uniform, the statement said.
