ABU DHABI - 31 October 2017:President of the UAE's State Audit Institution (SAI) Dr. Harib al Amimi discussed with Egyptian Ambassador Wael Gad aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of censorship and combating corruption.

During the meeting, the two sides examined opportunities in knowledge and expertise exchange between SAI and competent authorities in Egypt, Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

Dr. Al Amimi expressed his appreciation for the ambassador's visit, which reflects the keenness and interest of Egyptian bodies and agencies responsible for combating corruption to work alongside the UAE's State Audit Institution.

He explained that the State Audit Bureau, as Chair of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, INTOSAI, and member of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions, ARABOSAI, seeks to strengthen professional relations with its competent counterparts in Egypt in the field of cooperation, exchange of expertise and capacity building.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian ambassador hailed distinguished historical relations between the two countries, emphasizing the need to employ these strong ties to establish bilateral partnerships between the competent agencies for the benefit of the nations' peoples, and enhance the regional and international status of the regulatory bodies in both countries.
