CAIRO - 28 October 2017: A well-placed security source said on Saturday that Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar’s decision to reshuffle four senior positions within the ministry aims at enhancing the ministry’s security performance.

In exclusive statements to MENA, the source added that the minister is always keen on choosing the best leaderships to guarantee the ministry’s performance.

The source also said that Abdel Ghaffar directed the new leaderships to closely supervise, follow up and asses their subordinate staff to guarantee their commitment to the ministry’s security plans.

Earlier, Abdel Ghaffar reshuffled four senior positions within his ministry.

The reshuffle replaced the minister's aide for national security Mahmoud Shaarawi, the minister's aide for Giza's security sector Hisham el Iraqi and the head of Giza's national security directorate Ibrahim el Masri.

The director of the special operations directorate of the Central Security Forces was also changed.
