MANAMA – 25 October 2017: Bahrain has frozen the assets of two Yemeni entities and 11 individuals, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The decision was taken after the Terrorist Financing Targeting Center has blacklisted the two Yemeni entities and 11 individuals, the statement added.

Bahrain will impose sanctions on those entities and individuals, including freezing their assets in Manama and preventing Bahraini nationals and foreigners in the country from dealing with them, the statement read.

The decision reflects the determination of member states at the international center to target terrorist financing networks and related activities.

It also asserts the keenness of Bahrain and other Gulf states to strengthen partnership with the US to cut off funding to terrorist organizations, which pose a threat to the member states’ interests’ and security.
