LONDON - 20 October 2017: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Friday that the US-led coalition along with Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) killed about 1,172 Syrian civilians, including 276 children and 203 women, during battles of Raqqa city.

As well, there are hundreds of missed and displaced people, Al Arabiya Al Hadath reported, quoting SOHR head Rami Abdel Rahman as saying.

Battles in Raqqa city also resulted in the killing of more than 1,370 Daesh affiliates in addition to 657 SDF fighters, Abdel Rahman noted.

Syrian military sources affirmed that the Syrian army fully controlled al-Omar oilfield area while Daesh fighters fled it.

Syrian army backed by Russian air forces and the SDF supported by the US-led coalition managed earlier to recapture Daesh strongholds in the northern Deir Ezzor.
