BAGHDAD– 17 October 2017: Iraqi forces retook control over Bai Hassan oil fields in northwestern Kirkuk after the withdrawal of Peshmerga forces from them, Sky News reported quoting Iraqi security sources as saying on Tuesday.

The all-news network reported the news with no further details.

Iraqi forces announced earlier the results of Kirkuk security operation that was launched on Monday.

Iraqi forces have reportedly captured vital sites in the city including Kirkuk airport, oil fields and a military base.
