CAIRO - 12 October 2017: Head of the parliament's energy and environment committee Talaat el Sewedy greeted President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on his efforts in the energy file and providing energy for the new administrative capital before its inauguration.
The power plant established in the administrative capital in cooperation with Germany's Siemens will not only generate electricity inside the administrative capital, but to the surrounding areas as well.
Sisi's statements about the cost of setting up the new power stations and of upgrading transmission and distribution networks, estimated at EGP 483 billion, are conclusive evidence of the large unprecedented achievements made, Sewedy said in a Thursday statement.
The MP also thanked the Armed Forces, engineers, technicians and workers for implementing the new administrative capital project.
