CAIRO – 11 October 2017: The recently-implemented electricity development projects cost the state around LE 483 billion ($27.4 billion), Minister of Electricity and Power Mohamed Shaker said during the inauguration ceremony of the New Administrative Capital’s first phase.

This came in response to President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s request to engage the public in the details and the costs of the electrical development projects that have been running for the past two years.

The inauguration ceremony of the New Administrative Capital launched Wednesday and was attended by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and a number of ministers.

The ceremony is held at Al Masah Capital Hotel, which was inaugurated Friday to be one of the largest hotels in the world. Al Masah Resort is more than 10 acres big, containing a conference area, lakes, mosque, and trade mall with unique architectural designs.
