President of Cairo University Mohamed Othman al Khosht received the Vatican ambassador in Cairo Archbishop Bruno Musarò and his accompanying delegation - Egypt Today

CAIRO – 11 October 2017:President of Cairo University Mohamed Othman al Khosht said Wednesday that Egypt and Vatican should enjoy relations with various ties along with the religious one.

Receiving Vatican ambassador in Cairo Archbishop Bruno Musarò, Khosht said he saw a necessity of the availability of a new religious discourse based on the shared values among the different religions.

Sufism movements have common characteristics among different religions, he said, adding it could help in convergence among the divine religions.

Musarò said he personally was interested in the dialogue among various cultures, along with his personal love of Egypt as it represented a model for coexistence among different religions and cultures.
