CAIRO – 11 October 2017: The Arab quartet's information ministers will hold a meeting on October 25 in the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Manama, to discuss the development of the Qatari crisis.

The four ministers will follow the situation in Qatar, and how to coordinate the efforts of the media in the four countries to confront terrorism, stated Makram Mohamed Ahmed, head of Supreme Council for Media.

Ahmed added that the meeting will discuss preparation to hold the next meeting of the Arab quartet's information ministers in the United Arab Emirates.

The Arab anti-terrorism quartet, namely Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain, cut their diplomatic ties with Doha over accusations of supporting terrorist organizations and individuals, as well as maintaining close ties with Iran. The quartet has also accused Doha of trying to destabilize the region by fomenting sectarian strife.
