CAIRO – 6 October 2017: Former first lady of Egypt Jihan al Sadat placed wreaths of roses on the tombs of former President Muhammad Anwar el-Sadat and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier during the 44th anniversary of the 6th of October victory.

Several citizens gathered to welcome the former first lady, taking photographs with her and raising pictures of the late leader, Sadat.



On Wednesday, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi also placed flowers on the tombs of former Egyptian presidents Gamal Abdel Nasser and Muhammad Anwar el-Sadat, along with the Unknown Soldier in Nasr City.

Sisi was accompanied by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedki Sobhy and General Mahmoud Hijazi, chief of staff of the Armed Forces.
