GAZA CITY - Egyptian intelligence chief Khaled Fawzy returned home on Tuesday coming from Palestine following a visit, during which he met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Fawzy also held a meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and Head of Hamas political bureau Ismail Haniyeh.
He said he was delegated by President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to visit the Palestinian territories as part of Egypt's efforts to end division between Hamas and Fatah movements.
Fawzy also delivered a video message by President Sisi to Hamdallah, in which Sisi called on the Palestinian people to unite and end their division.
He also invited the Palestinian Fatah and Hamas movements to visit Cairo next week to discuss the reconciliation file.
