MOSCOW- 29 September 2017: Egypt has exerted strenuous efforts to upgrade safety at its airports, particularly Cairo International Airport, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov told Sputnik on Friday.

Russian authorities are now considering the possibility of resuming flights to Egypt, he noted.

In November 2015, Russia suspended all flights to Egypt one week after a plane crash which killed all 224 people on board.
