CAIRO – 28 September 2017: The Armed Forces took it upon itself to restore and rebuild 69 churches vandalized as a result terrorism.

The Evangelical Church of Beni Mazzar in the governorate of Minya is one of them. It was completely destroyed during an unprecedented spate of violence that erupted following the dispersal of the Muslim Brotherhood-occupied camps in Rabaa and Nahda squares.

MB-related rioters carried out attacks against Coptic churches, businesses and houses, after the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi.

Located in Assiut, the Church of St. Francis and St. Therese was lately inaugurated after it had been vandalized following the dispersal of sit-ins in Rabaa and Nahda squares.

On August 14, 2013, Security Forces set out to disperse the Muslim Brotherhood sit-in in Nasr City’s Rabaa Al Adawiya, along with another sit-in located in Nahda Square, Giza.
