UAE hails Egypt's role in safeguarding Arab national security

DUBAI - 26 September 2017: Visiting President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi was received Monday by UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said in a statement.

Sheikh Mohammed welcomed President Sisi, emphasizing the strength of relations between the two countries and its people, the spokesman added.

The UAE vice president praised the role played by Egypt, particularly about regional security, safeguarding Arab interests, and working to consolidate the foundations of peace and stability within the region.

He also lauded the remarkable economic growth witnessed by Egypt, and its progressive development in its public services across Egyptian governorates and cities.

For his part, Sisi hailed Dubai for being a model for achieving sustainable development in the Arab region.

He lauded distinguished relations linking Egypt and the UAE.

The talks dealt with ways to boost friendly ties and cooperation at all levels, as well as recent regional developments and issues of common concern.
