CAIRO – 25 September 2017: Former American Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, accused the Iranian regime of being a direct threat to the world and Arab countries, urging Arabs to collaborate in order to face it.

“Nobody should be supporting terrorism, so I hope all the Arab countries specially the GCC countries can get together and face the common threat which is Iran,” Bolton said in statements to the UAE-owned newspaper, al-Ain on Thursday.

He added that maybe there are a lot of issues that should be resolved in the world, however to him; the most overwhelming issue would always be “nuclear weapons.”

Bolton added that while Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was addressing the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York on Wednesday, the world has to become aware that his regime is a threat, its support for terrorism, and its continuing quest for nuclear weapons along with his suppression to the Iranian people. “This is a story that needs to be told,” he said.

Bolton affirmed that that while working with the American administration, he was very concerned with the nuclear threat and he thinks that the American regime should focus more on overthrowing the current regime and providing free and fair elections.
