CAIRO - 25 September 2017: A new cooperation initiative will take place between Egyptian Ministries to inaugurate “Aqdar Shelter.”

In cooperation with Ahmed Abu Hashima; the businessman and CEO of the Egyptian Steel Group, Dr. Ghada Wali; the Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity, and Colonel General Mohamed Yousef; Assistant Interior Minister for Human Rights, will inaugurate “Aqdar Shelter” on Monday.

The initiative, launched by the Egyptian Steel joint ventures and the Ministry of the Interior two months ago, aims to rehabilitate and strengthen their role for homeless children, the elderly people, and children with special needs in different governorates of the republic.

The initiative aims to provide all the living facilities that help achieve the welfare of the residents, to secure a more comfortable life, provide rehabilitation programs for street children, and treatment programs for special needs cases.

The Dar Aqdar (Shelter) counts as the first step of the initiative. It is a 6-storey building spacious for 110 cases, ranging from age 6 to 76-years-old, with hearing, visual, and mental disabilities.
