Macron to receive his Lebanese counterpart on Monday

PARIS – 23 September 2017: French President Emmanuel Macron will receive on Monday his Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun, who is due to embark on a three-day visit to France.

The Lebanese President will discuss boosting bilateral cooperation in several domains with Macron, the French Presidency said.

As Michel Aoun revealed that he will demand French enhancing cooperation in cultural, administrative and military levels, according to Le Figaro newspaper.

Aoun will also meet on Tuesday with Prime Minister Edouard Philippe, Foreign Minister Jean Yves Laudrian, the two chairmen of parliament chambers, as well as Paris mayor.

It also scheduled that Aoun will meet the Lebanese community in France.

This visit came after Lebanese PM Saad Al-Hariri's visit in September to tackle security, political, economic and cultural challenges facing Lebanon.
