RAMALLAH – 23 September 2017: Part of the Church of Holy Sepulchre's ceiling collapsed Friday noon in Al Quds, without causing injuries among worshipers.

Eyewitnesses said hundreds of worshipers were inside the church when part of the ceiling collapsed.

The church closed its doors for a period of time out of fear for the lives of worshipers and to remove the ruins of the collapsed part of the ceiling.

The church is considered to be one of the holiest sites for Christians, as it dates back to Crusader times and to the fourth Century, when the Roman Emperor Constantine built the church, according to the BBC.
