CAIRO – 19 September 2017: Since obtaining its United Nations membership on October 24, 1945, Egypt has been keen on participating actively in all UN activities politically, socially and economically, in addition to interacting with UN principles and objectives, according to a report issued by the State Information Service about Egypt’s role in the UN.

Egypt is one of the countries that established the UN and is one of its active members in all its organizations, in addition to being a member in their international and regional agencies that are specialized in the importance of active multilateral international action to reach political solutions for international and regional crises.

It occupies a non-permanent seat in the Security Council and is represented greatly in UN executive councils, agencies and bodies.

It is always committed to maintaining international peace and security, deepening friendly relations with the world, promoting social progress and improving living standards.
