CAIRO – 18 September 2017: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi met on Monday members of the American Chamber of Commerce in New York to discuss how to boost American investments in Egypt after the passage of the new investment law.

During his participation in the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly last year, al-Sisi met with members of the American Chamber of Commerce. The delegation included a number of prominent companies and American figures, including former National Security Advisor and President of the Cargill Group General James Jones.

On September 13, international banks and investment funds praised the reform measures to improve the investment environment in Egypt.

Sisi is participating in the U.N. Security Council’s summit on reforming the peacekeeping forces’ operations.

President Sisi will also meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, in addition to other key political, congressional and economic figures in the American administration, presidency spokesman Alaa Youssef added.
