58 killed, injured in three suicide attacks in Nigeria

ABUJA - 18 September 2017: At least 15 people were killed and 43 others inured on Monday in three suicide attacks that hit Mashalari village in Borno State, northeast Nigeria.

Three explosions took place during distributing food supply in a displaced persons camp in northeast Nigeria where Boko Haram terrorist activities repeatedly take place, Radio Africa 1 reported.

Suicide bombers who carried out the three attacks are females, a rescue worker, who spoke on condition of anonymity noted.

Mashalari village which is located in Konduga area, is about 40 km from the Borno state capital, Maiduguri has been targeted by Boko Haram several attacks since the beginning of August.

As well, Konduga area has witnessed attacks during the past weeks targeting farmers and villagers there. Boko Haram accused them of spying for the Nigerian army.

At least 28 people have been killed and more than 80 injured in August when three female suicide bombers detonated their explosives outside a camp for displaced persons in Konduga.

Boko Haram violence in Lake chad area has left at least 20,000 people dead and displaced more than 2.6 million since 2009.
