CAIRO - 16 September 2017: Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed ways to counter terrorism with President of International Crisis Group Jean-Marie Guéhenno during his visit to New York on Saturday.





The meeting tackled issues in the Middle East, like the Palestinian case, Syria and Libya, according to spokesperson of Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid’s statement.

Guéhenno, who met with Shoukry on the sidelines of the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, listened to Egypt’s vision concerning regional issues, where Shoukry affirmed that conditions in Libya have a negative effect on Egypt’s stability, stressing on the necessity to counter terrorism inside Libyan territories.

International Crisis Group is an independent organization that focuses its efforts to prevent wars and shape policies that will build a more peaceful world.
