RAMALLAH – 13 September 2017: The Palestinian Foreign Ministry accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of hindering efforts exerted by the US to resume peace negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis.

Netanyahu publicly announced his anti-peace stances and stresses his government's plan to go ahead with the settlement activities, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The ministry also slammed the recent Israeli escalation in the Palestinian territories, particularly the demolition of residential units in al Isawiya neighborhood in al Quds and the confiscation of more than 150 dunams of the Palestinian land at Umm al Khair village in Hebron.

The ministry accused the ruling right-wing government in Israel of seeking to control decision-making circles in Israel and illegally seize Palestinian territories since it came to power in 2009.

It further urged the international community to firmly stand up to Israel's settlement activities in the Palestinian territories, instead of just condemning such malpractices.
