Int'l cooperation only way to confront terror

CAIRO - 12 September 2017: Head of the Evangelical Community in Egypt Andrea Zaki on Monday said that international cooperation is the only way to confront terrorism.

Zaki made the remarks in his speech to a seminar themed “together against extremism and terrorism … Egyptian–US roles” that was organized by the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services (CEOSS).

He said that the current visit of the US National Council of Churches delegation to Egypt reflects cooperation between Egypt and the US against terrorism.

He hailed the meetings held during the US delegation visit, labeling them as “useful, frank and free.”

Head of the US delegation James Thomas, for his part, offered condolences to the families of Egyptians killed in today’s terror attack in Sinai.

The US Bishop hailed the Egyptian-US relations, stressing that his country is keen on supporting Egypt’s efforts against terror.
