Shooting leaves 8 dead in Texas, US police say

WASHINGTON - 11 Sep 2017: US Police said eight people, including the suspect, were shot to death at a home in Plano, Texas, Sunday evening, CBS News reported.

Police say the incident happened at a home in a neighborhood on West Spring Creek Parkway.

Plano Police PIO David Tilley says officers responded to the residence just after 8 p.m. local time after gunshots were reportedly heard.

According to police, an officer also fatally shot the suspect in the deadly shooting.

"He actually heard gunshots and that's when he made entry into the house. That's when he observed several victims inside then engaged the suspect. And that's when he shot him," said Officer Tilley.
