Sisi has the right to run for a 2nd term: Mousa

CAIRO – 11 September 2017: Amr Mousa, former Secretary-General of the Arab League said that President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi has the right to take office for his second presidential term and to resume what he had started.

Taking tough decisions some previous presidents were afraid to take, is a critical point to consider when evaluating Sisi’s performance, Mousa said during a telephone interview with Amr Adib on “ON E.”

Mousa praised the Egyptian Army under Field Marshal Sisi’s leadership, on the achievement in the June 30 revolution and how they responded to the people demands: “It was extremely important and should be forever remembered.”

“I will not take part in the presidential elections, 2018, and I will keep the reasons why
I took such decision to myself. We’re in a race against time, and it’s up to the people. I shape my opinions according to what I think will be good for our country,” said Mousa.
