CAIRO- 1 September, 2017: Texas Governor Greg Abbott said on Friday that the state will not run out of gasoline after Tropical Storm Harvey flooded much of the Gulf Coast and shut down a quarter of U.S. refining capacity.

"There's plenty of gasoline in the state of Texas," Abbott said at a Friday new conference. "Don't worry. We will not run out."

Texas has worked with refiners in Louisiana, Oklahoma and other states to send additional supply ahead of the Labor Day holiday weekend, Abbott said.
