KHARTOUM - 1 September 2017: The UK Department for International Development has released 3.8 million dollars funding as an aid to South Sudanese refugees in Sudan, the UK embassy in Khartoum posted on its Facebook page.

The aid aims at providing essential assistance to nearly 130,000 refugees and 15,000 from host community in Sudan. The funds will support vital work in the areas of education, water and sanitation, registration and shelter covering three states White Nile, South Kordofan and East Darfur.

“Education is essential in helping vulnerable children gain the skills they need to build safe, strong communities and economies.” said Head of DFID Sudan Christopher Pycroft, expressing UK concern for the needs of children.
