Washington congratulates Baghdad on liberating Tal Afar

BAGHDAD - 31 Aug 2017: The US Embassy here congratulated the Iraqi people on liberating Tal Afar and Nineveh from the control of Daesh terrorist group.

"We are committed to work with the Iraqi cabinet to secure a bright future, Al Sumaria channel quoted a statement by the embassy as saying on Thursday.

Daesh has lost more than 90 %of the Iraqi territories by liberating Tal Afar and Nineveh, the statement read.
