University hostel fees jump to LE 350 monthly

CAIRO – 31 August 2017: The Supreme Council of Universities declared Wednesday a new rise in the accommodation fees of university hostels to be LE 350 ($20) instead of LE 165 per month.

The actual cost of a student in the hostel is LE 1,125 monthly, said Yusuf Rachid, the secretary general of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities.

Students staying without hostel meals would pay only LE 150 per month, Rachid added.
