IDSC publishes specialties of President, PM positions

CAIRO – 30 August 2017: The Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) published on its official Twitter account on Wednesday the specialties of the two positions of Egypt’s President and Prime Minister in light of the ‎Civil Service Law.

First, specialties of Egypt’s President:

1- Issue a decree of appointment or delegate officials in public offices.
2- Issue a decree that determines offices with a special nature that require promotion to be applied from within.
3- Determining if an official appointed in other public office gets the same salary of the last office or a part of it.
4- Extend the working period of retired officials who are in leading offices and reached 60 years of age. The additional working period should not exceed three years.
Second, Egypt’s Prime Minister:
1- Issue the executive regulations of the ‎Civil Service Law, after reviewing it to the Civil Services council, during three months from the date of implementation.
2- Issue a decision to determine jobs available only for injuries in war, revolution, veterans and security operations, if their health conditions allow them to work.
3- Approve to make agreements, if it is necessary, with experts in rare specializations.
4- Issue a decision to determine a system of choosing the minister’s assistants and deputies.
5- Issue a decision of transferring officials in leading jobs out of the unit.
6- Issue a decision for the system of the complementary pay after getting the approval of the Finance Minister.
7- Determining days off in light of official occasions.
8- Determining days off in light of religious occasions.
