BAGHDAD - 30 August 2017: Commander of Tal Afar military operations Abdulamir Rashid Yaralla said Wednesday that 40% of Al Ayadya neighborhood in the city of Tal Afar has been liberated, while the army regained control of the village of Qolabash.

He said in a statement the 15th brigade liberated Qolabash in west of Al Ayadya from terrorist Daesh group, the Iraqi media news agency reported.

He explained that 40% of Al Ayadya was liberated by the federal police after they stormed the eastern part of Tal Afar city, backed by the ninth armored division who entered the city from the western part
