CAIRO – 29 August 2017: The Minister of Tourism Yehya Rashed affirmed Tuesday that there is a collaboration with the Ministry of Antiquities to remove all violations in the Giza Pyramids area which will be fully developed by March 2018.

The Minister stated on TV that measures are taken to inhibit the exploitation of tourists at the pyramids, and that tourism and antiquities police are pivotal in confronting outlaws. He added that the Ministry is putting a plan to raise awareness of the importance of tourism, and to train workers in the tourism sector.

It is noted that pedestrian vendors often chase tourists to sell souvenirs, or persuade them to ride camels.
