CAIRO – 28 August 2017: Global Campaign against Qatari Financing of Terrorism (GCAQFT) discussed in a conference held in Vienna on Saturday, Qatar’s attempt to justify its crimes by using terrorist groups to defend it.

During the conference Qatar referred to some institutions to help justify its actions; providing examples that included a Qatari human rights organization called Karama that is headed by a Qatari national included in the United States’ terrorism list.

GCAQFT also discussed other institutions working on justifying Qatari practices such as International Human Rights Organization (IFDI), which is headed by a Muslim Brotherhood member, Abdelmajid Marari.

The campaign also reviewed legal ways to attain the rights of those killed by the Qatari-financed.

Moreover, during the conference a report was submitted by a group of legal experts, human rights activists and medical doctors, about Qatari-financed terror. This report was conducted after visiting a number of countries and holding meetings with the victims of terror.

This campaign started in late June in Vienna, the Austrian capital, with participation from Arab and international activists and organizations with the aim of spreading a culture of diversity, pluralism and tolerance in the face of the extremism that has been inflamed by Qatar.
