AL BAYDA’, Libya, Aug 24 2017: Head of Libya's interim government Abdullah al-Thani has mourned the victims of a terrorist attack on an army checkpoint in central Libya’s Jufra district on Wednesday, which killed 11 people.

Al-Thani asserted the government’s support for the Armed Forces to uproot terrorism and terrorists, the government’s media office said on Thursday.

Nine soldiers and two civilians were beheaded in an attack Wednesday on a checkpoint run by the Libyan National Army.

The attack was claimed by Daesh terrorist group.
